Ray, born in Chicago, Illinois, was one of four children born to the late Oren and Laura Valentina Hall.
He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII; part of the 29th Calvary, the 289th Infantry, and the 82nd Air Borne.
Ray built a home for his young bride in Camp Nebraska, which is still standing. They later moved their growing family to Lutz. He was a skilled millwright mechanic and, in his later years, his artistic talent was evident in the many portrait and landscape oil paintings he created.
He is predeceased by wife, Evelyn; sister, Juanita Smith; brother, Richard Hall; and, grandson, David Hall.
Ray is survived by: sons, Roy Hall and wife, Donna; Ray Hall, Jr. and wife, Sherry; and, Rod Hall. He is also survived by brother Donald H. Hall, grandsons: Raymond Hall III; Roy Hall II and wife, Angela; Ryan Hall and wife, Katie; great-grandchildren: Raymond Hall IV and wife, Kiersten; Erick Hall; Patrick Hall; Liam Hall; and great-great-grandson, Bryant Hall.
A Life Celebration will begin at 1 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, followed by interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
