Peggy G. Rodgers, 80, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away at home on April 22, 2021, reuniting in Heaven with her beloved husband, William . She was born in Cordova, Alabama to the late Pearl and James Moore.
She and her husband were founding members of Myrtle Lake Baptist Church, hosting the first prayer meeting in their home. They were active in the church for many years, where Peggy helped serve Wednesday night suppers and William served as a deacon.
Family was very important to Peggy. She was a devoted wife and mother; providing a loving nurturing home. She loved to cook, especially the family’s southern favorites, fresh baked pies, and her famous sweet tea.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband William Rodgers and daughter Carrie Johnson. Her daughter Susan Rodgers, son William Rodgers, and four grandsons; Tim, Jared, Wyatt, and Carson are left to cherish the memories of their mom and Meema.
The family is planning on having a Life Celebration at a later date, details will be provided once confirmed.
