Pedro Perez III

Pedro (Pete) A. Perez III, 57, of Tampa passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He is survived by his son Pedro Perez; brothers Frank Vega and Lawrence Vega; sisters Nancy Vega-Brady and Michelle Sauls. He was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor C. Darrigo, father Pedro A. Perez II, and brother Miguel H. Vega. Pete was a lifelong resident of Tampa who grew up in the newspaper business, starting at the Tampa Tribune as a teen, and later working on the launch team for USA TODAY newspaper. Pete had an entrepreneurial spirit, and left the newspaper industry to follow his dream and opened “Petey’s Petals” Flower Shop on Dale Mabry Ave. Pete will be greatly missed by all who knew him as a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and a generous caring friend who always brought a warm hug, an I love you, and the gift of laughter wherever he went.

A private service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Blount and Curry at Garden of Memories. Followed by a celebration of life in Cocoa Beach, Florida on September 1, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Promise of Brevard, 4105 Norfolk Parkway, W. Melbourne, Fl. 32904
