Thaxton, Patricia 77, of Tampa, FL , passed away on Wednesday, November 12th at her home. Born in St. Francis, Maine, she moved to Florida in 1960. She worked as an executive secretary for Founders Life Assurance from 1974-1980. She and her husband owned a wicker and rattan furniture company for 10 years. Patricia was a member of The National Secretaries Association and Incarnation Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and her cats. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Claude William Thaxton; her parents, Willie and Amanda Pelletier; and 15 siblings. She is survived by her son, Michael (Debra) Cordner; her grandson, James (Terri) Collins; great grandsons Daniel and Kayleb Wright; three sisters, Diane (Robert) Jandreau, Viola (Patrick) Plourde, and Iona (Roger) Jandreau; and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 5-7pm at Blount & Curry – MacDill Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at Church of the Incarnation at 1pm on Friday, November 21st. Burial will take place afterwards at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive guests following the burial at Patricia’s home.
