Pat Perna Jr.

PERNA, Pat, 62, of Tampa, entered into Heaven peacefully from his home after a long battle with Colon Cancer on February 23rd. Born in Mt. Vernon N.Y., Pat moved to Tampa at the age of 20 and attended The University of South Florida. He worked for the restaurant Industry for years until he met the love of his life and became a Felony Probation Officer for the Dept. of Corrections to provide a better life for his family. He was an extremely hard worker who worked two and three jobs to make sure his family was well provided for. His wife and children were the most important part of his life. Pat was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan who had no problem defending that. Pat leaves behind his devoted, loving wife Kristen; Children; Nicholas (Michelle), Mathew & Alexandra. Twin sisters; Diane (Doug), Maryann (Vic). Granddaughters; Macie & Adalyn, Childhood Best Friends; Paul, Bobby, Bernie, Mark, Carmen, Kenny & their wives, Nieces & Nephews, In-Laws & his Dept. of Corrections family. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Pat & Mary Perna. He will be missed greatly. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral home, with a gathering from 6:00 PM until the start of the service.
