Octavio “Johnny” Valdez, 91, of Tampa, passed away on December 2. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Valdez, and by his second wife, Shirley Augusta Valdez. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Joe Alpizar, Lucy Arroyo, Norma Jacobs, Antonia “Colie” Martinez, Isabel Salas, Grace Shanahan, Rose Spano, Evelio “Jimmy” Valdez and Mary Venta.
He is survived by his sister, Ofelia “Lita” Posada, sons: Angelo Valdez and Johnny Valdez, grandson, Joshua (Stacy) Valdez, and great-grandchildren: Dominic Octavio Valdez and Briella Marie Valdez, numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-nephews, and many friends.
