"Nofio" passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. He attended Hillsborough High School, graduating in 1940, and then worked for the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, retiring with a perfect safety record after 40 years. He married his high school sweetheart, Aurora Gonzalez "Chola", and none of his family or friends ever forgot their wedding anniversary; it was the morning of the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. He is survived by his wife, Aurora "Chola"; his son, Norman J. Castellano, MD, (Myriam Souto Castellano) and his daughter, Carolyn Luis (Nelson Luis). He is also survived by four grandchildren, Katherine Girgenti, Victor Castellano, Emily Cimino, PhD, and Elizabeth Tanner as well as great-grandchildren, Vincent Girgenti, Sofia Girgenti, Julian Castellano, Lola Castellano, Rachel Cimino, and Justen Cimino. He is also survived by his cousin, Frank Castellano and a nephew, Eloy "Greg" Gregory Jr., and niece, Linda Gregory. Pallbearers are Norman J. Castellano, MD, Nelson Luis, Victor Castellano, Eloy "Greg" Gregroy Jr., Frank Castellano. Honorary Pallbearers are B.J. Cimino, Joseph Girgenti, James Tanner, Joseph Quintanilla, Alberto Souto, and Hon. Frank Quesada.
A visitation will be held at Blount & Curry at Garden of Memories Funeral Home Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 10am-11am, followed by a Funeral Service Mass at 11am, and a Graveside Service at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. 4207 E Lake Ave., Tampa, Florida 33610.
