Nina Jeanette Bentivegna passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2023, after her long battle with dementia. She was 87. Nina loved her family dearly and never missed a moment to tell anyone about her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of them all. Nina was born in York, PA to Joseph and Janie Card. They moved to Tampa when she was a little girl. Nina married Vincenzo Bentivegna on April 28, 1957. She was a stay at home mom and raised their 3 children. As her family grew older she took a job at St. Joseph’s hospital where she retired from after 30 years. Nina then made herself available to help raise her grandchildren. She was never too busy for them. She spent 66 years taking care of her husband and family. Nina was predeceased by her mother and father, Joseph and Janie Card, her brother, George Card, her son, Jack Joseph Bentivegna and her granddaughter, Aubrey Bentivegna. Nina is survived by her husband of 66 years Vincenzo Bentivegna, her son Jimmie Lee Bentivegna, her daughter Judy Ann Corn and husband Robert, grandchildren, Jimmie Lee Bentivegna, Jr., Vincent Joseph Bentivegna, Dr. Natalie Rose Bentivegna and her fiancé Patrick Latanzio, Brianna Bentivegna and John Vavourakis, Rian Bentivegna and wife Karlee, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Honoring Nina’s wishes there will be no services. We would like to express our thanks to Suzette Jones and her sisters Sally and Nicole for their exceptional round the clock care for Nina and essentially becoming part of the family. Also thank you to hospice for helping to make the final days for Nina comfortable ones.
