Nelson Dallas Montgomery Jr., 77 years old; entered into heaven on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol, his daughter Kathleen Tyson, his son-in-law Michael Tyson, his grandson Tyler Tyson, his granddaughter Hailey Tyson, and two sisters Beatrice McLeod and Cheryl Stanczykowski. He retired from the City of Tampa as Chief Electrical Inspector in 2009. He gave 35 years of service to the Army National Guard and 35 years of service to the Sheriff's Auxiliary. He was a Member of the ECF, IAEI and IEC. Visitation will be at Blount and Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave. Tampa, Florida 33618 on Thursday, December 17th from 5-7pm and a Funeral Mass will be at St Mary's Catholic Church, 15520 N Boulevard Tampa, FL 33613 on Friday, December 18th at 10:00am. Interment to take place at Florida National Cemetery at 2:30pm.Nelson's favorite color was blue if friends would like to wear blue in celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been set up for Nelson's grandchildren at Chase Bank.
