Nellie V. Stone

Originally from Greensboro, NC, she moved to Tampa over 50 years ago and was a gardening advocate. She was a longtime member of the West Hillsborough Baptist Church. She retired from Equifax.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Sidney H. Stone. Her brother Ray Gregory, sister Reba Swann, Mildred Gregory, Marie Beck, and Margaret Brande.

She is survived by daughter Susan Townsend (Mike) and Cynthia Cheney (Phillip). Grandson Nicholas Cheney, Sister Louise Billings, Sister Dorcas Broadaway and numerous family members.

A graveside service for Nellie will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.
