Nancy Valdes

Nancy was born on September 21, 1937 in Havana, Cuba to parents Jose Garcia Iglesias and Antonia Vadell. She moved to Florida after marrying her husband, Oscar Valdes, on July 18, 1953. She retired from the Hillsborough County School Board after 21 years of service. Nancy loved her family, collecting angels, needle point, and plants and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Antonia, her daughter Carmen Gina Carlino (Jim), and her granddaughter Lauren Ors. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Valdes, daughters Nancy Herrera (Ruben) of Tampa, Barbara Thorne of Tampa, Gloria Scarinci (Larry) of Blairsville, GA, and Tina Valdez (Bobby) of Tampa, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family, friends and those that may have been touched by Nancy are invited to attend services on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10AM at Myrtle Hill Garden of Memories, Pastor George W. Walters officiating.
