

Nancy Denny Germain, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2014 at the age of 88. She was born September 8, 1925, in Fort Collins, Colorado, and was the daughter of Samuel Denny and Dale Rudolph Greaver. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Henry Germain. Nancy resided for most of her life in Tampa and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1943. She retired from the office of Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court in May 1991. She was a sweet, Christian lady, a talented seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for herself and her 3 girls. A gifted artist, she especially enjoyed painting ceramics and making porcelain dolls. Her love of music was passed on to her 3 daughters. She will be dearly missed.Nancy is survived by her 3 daughters, Nan (Kim) Norquist,Beth (Dan) Singletary and Jane (Gerry) Kenyon. Grandchildren: Scott (Chris) Patterson, Brett (Maribeth) Patterson, Jenny (David) Nix, Mark (Mari) Singletary, Sam (Lindsey) Singletary, Matt (Shannon) Singletary, Jeff (Beth) Kenyon and John (Lindsay) Kenyon, Jordan (Jessica), Chase Caldwell and Adam Caldwell.Step-children, Rick Germain, Mark (Jill) Germain, and Susan (Pete) Benetatos.Grandchildren: Michael Germain, Melissa Germain, Ben Germain, Pete Benetatos and Philip (Brooke) Benetatos. 21 Great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to Hospice Garnet Team and to Veronica and Lenomi, her faithful caregivers this past year. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home 605 S. MacDill Ave. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. with service at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Nancy Germain, to Lifepath Hospice, Garnet Team, 12470 Telecom Dr. Suite 300 W.
