Ellis, Michael, J., 68, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023, in Tampa, Florida. He was born on November 30, 1954, and was preceded in death by his father, John B. Ellis. Michael is survived by his mother, Frances Ellis, his sister Linda Hales, and her husband Steve, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Michael was a self-taught pianist who had a natural talent for music. He enjoyed sharing his Christian music with others and brought happiness to many through his performances. Although his family and friends will miss him greatly, his music will continue to live on in their hearts.
A funeral service for Michael will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Interment to follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4228 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
