She was born on December 26, 1964, in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica to Gwendolyn Swinnie. She then moved to the U.S. She lived in N.Y. where she had all four of her children and gained many friendships. She then briefly lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Stone Mountain, Georgia before settling her life in Tampa, Florida.
For 15 years she worked at Moffitt Cancer Center where she was loved. It suited her caring heart. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ”.
Maureen was the proud mother of four children and grandmother to nine grandchildren. She treasured every moment in her role as Grandma and showered her grandchildren with love and affection.
Maureen is predeceased in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Swinnie; sister, Jennifer Clemmings. She is survived by her four children, James, Carolyn, Fashtian & Paulaja; three sisters, Jackie, Mariam, & Karen; grandchildren, Trey, Jaylah, Christian, Brianna, Chloe, Aaron, Jayce, Gabriella, & Ashad; cousin, Shalena; aunt, Indy; along with many nieces & nephews.
