Maude Alice Whitfield

She was born to the White family in Covington, Kentucky January 13th, 1948. Maude Alice White attended and graduated from Hillsborough High in 1966. It was there, where she met the love of her life Harold Whitfield. They married on October 28, 1967.

Alice worked at St Joseph's Hospital for 50 years where she touched many lives. One of her gifts too, was her amazing cooking. She filled many stomachs and hearts with her amazing southern type food. In her free time, she loved feeding all the cats in the neighborhood, keeping in touch with everyone she knew, and spending time with and bragging about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Whitfield; daughter, Anita Lorene Whitfield; grandchildren, Ciera Ryan Nicole Whitfield-Bush, Risa Leigh Ines Rushmore, Katie Ellen Brooke Whitfield, Hannah Shae Rianne Whitfield; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Xidis Dostall, Russell Howard Lester and Iris Elaine Whitfield-Medlin.

A funeral service for Maude will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Interment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
