Mary Ellen Thompson

THOMPSON, MaryEllen , age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at Swedish Edmonds Hospital in WA. She was born in Saginaw, MI, to Harold and Agnes Reinert. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Thompson and her son, Robert A. Thompson. MaryEllen was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother with endless amounts of love to give. She was a model of traditional family values, kindness and willingness to help others. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends, occasionally outdoing herself with a perfect gourmet meal. She enjoyed creating beautiful works of art, through handmade quilts, china painting, crafts, and sewing. She was also an avid reader, any type would do, as long as she had a book in her hand. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. (Bill) Stockman of Everett, WA, her son William H. (Roseann) of Alexandria, VA, six grandchildren; Jamie (Jonathan) Farwell, Christopher (Monic) Stockman, Jeffery (Sarah) Thompson, Justin Thompson, Keith Thompson, Michael (Theresa) Thompson, three great grandchildren; Ryan Farwell, Victoria Stockman, Scarlett Thompson and her brother, Owen (Winnie) Reinert of Troy, MI. She will be laid to rest beside her husband with a private memorial service at the Garden of Memories, September 23, 2017.
