Mary Snyder

Mary was born in Wilmington Township, Pennsylvania on November 30, 1926, to Elvira and Edward Reed. She grew up there and worked for many years at Northwest Bank in Mercer, PA. She lived in Pennsylvania until 1969, when she moved to Phoenix, AZ and continued her career in banking with Great Western Bank until she retired. In 2012 she and her husband, Richard, moved to Colorado, and in 2015 they once again moved to Florida where she passed away on April 4, 2022.

Mary enjoyed sewing for many years, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles. She most enjoyed proudly watching her grandson Vincent play football on Sundays for both the San Diego Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She always looked forward to Sunday family dinners.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elvira and Edward Reed, sisters and brothers, Donald, Sarah, Kenneth and Hazel, her husband of 50 years, Richard, and her youngest grandson Vincent.

Mary leaves behind her three daughters, Sandra (Timothy), Barbara (Rick) and Sherry (Terence). She also leaves her grandchildren, Kimberly, who shared her birthday (Ken), and Jonathon (Dayna), and granddaughter-in-law Lindsey, six great grandchildren, Alexis, Adam, Carter, Amaya, Dominick and Miles.

Additionally, she is survived by Richard’s children, Becky (Sandy), Warren (Marsha), and William. There are many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family wants to thank everyone for their cards, flowers, calls, and kindness during this time.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618 followed by a funeral service. A graveside service will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
