Mary Jim grew up at The Floridan Hotel with her mother, Ruthie, and father, Jim Pickard, who was the General Manager. In her younger years, she was a Champion Equestrian, winning several Horse Shows with her horse “Lady Eloise”. She was Champion of the South and showed at Madison Square Garden. She had a great career as an Executive Buyer/Bridal Consultant and a Realtor for Smith and Associates. A graduate of H.B Plant High School and FSU. Maid Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, member of the Jr League, Tampa Yacht Club and Hyde Park Methodist Church.
She loved reading, playing bridge, Rock n Roll, dancing and most of all being with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Stribling Hulsizer.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Shilah (William Robinson) Stribling, Rosemary (Bo) Smith; grandchildren, Travis Hulsizer, Hunter Smith, Winn Smith; son-in-law, Eric (Diana) Hulsizer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5 to 7pm at Blount and Curry Macdill, 605 S. Macdill Ave Tampa, FL 33609. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Humane Society or Leukemia Foundation.
