Mary Ann Maloney

Mary Ann Maloney of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2019, at the age of 62. She was born to Mary Steffer and Anthony Steffer, Jr. on April 7, 1957, in Red Bank, New Jersey. On April 29, 1983, she married the love of her life Joe, and raised their family together in Lutz until his passing in 1995. She retired from the University of South Florida’s College of Education after 30 years of service.

Mary Ann loved to live life to the fullest and had a special gift for connecting with people in a meaningful and positive way. It brought her endless joy to brighten the day of those she crossed paths with. She especially loved spoiling her five grand-dogs and boasting about her three children.

She is preceded by her husband, Joseph Maloney, Sr. and is survived by her three children Timothy, Erin and Joseph, Jr.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Her family will hold a celebration of life at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home in Carrollwood on 3207 W Bearss Avenue this Thursday, November 14 from 2–4pm, followed by a reception at PJ Dolans on 2836 E Bearss Ave, the pub where she loved to watch her youngest son play music.
