Martin "Marty" John Schmeisser, 76, of Tampa, passed away June 4, 2024. He was born in Chicago to the late John Martin and Ellenor Navaro Schmeisser.
Marty proudly served his country in the United States Army Special Forces. He worked for TECO for 43 years, retiring as a Watch Engineer. He was very intelligent; could do anything he set his mind to. He enjoyed building and fixing anything. Marty could tear apart and rebuild a car. If there was not a tool for the task, he would create the needed tool. He was a member of the Professional Car Society, owning many unique cars over the years.
He is survived by Catherine, his beloved wife of 23 years, son Daniel Karl Schmeisser (Sharon Denninger), step sons, John M. Allen (Robin D. Allen) and Jason F. Allen (Lisa N. Allen), 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
