Martha Kaye Koehler

MK was born on July 27, 1958, to Decarr Covington Jr. and Joyce Covington in Dade City, Florida. After MK graduated from Berkeley Preparatory School in 1976, she went on to study law at the University of Florida.

After graduating from NOVA Law School with a law degree, she started her first and only job at Hillsborough Community College as their attorney and general council, kickstarting her 38 years with them.

In 1990, MK met Carl James “CJ” Koehler at [location]. MK and CJ wed in 1996 and went on to have one child, Ryann Koehler.

Throughout her life, MK spent her time walking, tending to her garden, cooking, working alongside HCC, getting pedicures, going out for dinner, and spending time with her Supper Club and her family.

MK was predeceased by Drecarr and Joyce Covington. She is survived by CJ and Ryann Koehler.

Services will be held at Hyde Park United Methodist on Friday, June 9th at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the HCC Foundation, in hopes we may endow a scholarship in her name.
