WILLETT, Marjorie June, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 in Tampa, Florida. June was born on Saturday, June 24, 1922 in Covington, Kentucky. The youngest of five girls, June was raised with her family in Covington. She met her husband, Keith, during her teens and traveled with him for 35 years before settling into Tampa. June and Keith had three children; Tom, Judy, and Mark. She was an amazing stay at home Mom, and loved spending time with her family. Some of her favorite times involved getting together at Christmas time at either of her kids homes. Having the whole family together made her incredibly happy. June was a devoted Catholic. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and attended mass every Sunday. In her late 50's, June started working at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Medical Records, and then later became a volunteer at her son's medical clinics in Tampa as a greeter and check-out clerk just up until 3 weeks before her passing.
June is predeceased by her mother, Myrtle Hopper; and sisters, Betty, Buddy, Charlotte, and Fern. She is survived by her children, Tom (Gerri) Willett, Judy (Oscar Sr.) Liner, and Mark (Ronda) Willett; grandchildren, Keith (Tricia), Kirk, Tish, Oscar Jr. (Jennifer), Erica (Frank), John, Leslie (Joe), Audrey, Kelly (Mike), Angie (Ryan), Heather (Jon), and Eddy (Hope); great-grandchildren, Aidan, Eastin, Brian, Amanda, Ally, Dylan, Jack, Carson, Avrey, Jared, Brendan, Mackenzie, Jordan, Gracie, Trae, Christian, Callie, and Hailey; and an extension of family and friends. June was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all. She will be deeply missed, but will continue to live in our hearts forever.
A visitation will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 5:30-7:30PM with a prayer service at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 12PM. Pallbearers will be Keith, Kirk, Oscar Jr., and John.
