Marilyn S. Quick, age 91, died peacefully in her sleep on April 17, 2024. Marilyn was born in Tampa, FL on October 4, 1932, to Robert and Grace Lanier. Her entire adolescence was experienced in the Tampa area, and she subsequently graduated from Hillsborough High School. She met the love of her life Ronald Quick in Tampa and were married in September of 1951. Marilyn was a dedicated Christian and member of Christ Central Presbyterian Church for many years, where she sang in the choir and offered her talents in decorating and food preparation for numerous social and outreach events including senior citizen socials and vacation bible school. Marilyn was also an avid sports fan and ardent follower of the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning. Marilyn was a loving wife, devoted mother and cherished grandmother and great grandmother. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son Ronald. She is survived by her sons Gregg (Sally), Mike (Lou Alice) and Jeff, along with eleven grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A funeral service will occur on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610. An interment will occur at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4228 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
