Marilyn Owens

Marilyn Jean Owens was born in Hannibal Missouri on August 10, 1942. Marilyn was preceded in death by mother, Grace Shropshire and father, Thomas Shropshire. Her late husband, Melvin C. Corn; the love of her life, William L. Owens who passed almost one month after.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Robert C. Corn (Judy) of Land O Lakes FL and Michael T. Corn of Tampa FL.; sister Earladean Krueger (Gene) of Des Moines IA.; grandchildren Mikayla Grace Corn, Austin Logan Corn of Lithia FL, Rian Bentivegna (Karlee) of Tampa FL.; and great grandson, Vincenzo Bentivegna.

Marilyn moved to Tampa in 1972 with her late husband and 2 sons. She was a homemaker and later worked at Royal Globe Insurance Company. Marilyn married William Owens in 1986. She worked for Liberty Tax Service until her and William retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cross stitching and played cards with many friends.

A funeral service for both Marilyn and Bill will take place at 11am on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Blount and Curry Carrollwood, located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. Family will begin receiving guests at 10am.
