Marilyn I Egan

Marilyn I. Egan, passed away on Sunday April 30th with her family by her side. For 84 years she shared love, compassion and laughter with all in her life. The family will be having small personal celebrations of life in both New Jersey and Florida

Marilyn was born in Irvington, NJ to John and Natalie Schaaf. She graduated from Livingston High School. She later married William “Bill” Egan and the couple settled in Denville. Marilyn was a devoted wife and amazing Mother to their children.

Marilyn worked in retail for over 45 years during which time she not only built a client base but many of those clients became personal friends. She enjoyed the community where she lived and all the friends that she made over the years.

Marilyn was a proud and supportive Mom. She loved attending sporting events to cheer on her sons and their teams over the years. She also enjoyed watching professional and college sports and rooting for her favorite teams.

Marilyn brought kindness, humor and joy with a little bit of sass to those in her life and always offered a smile and words of encouragement. We will forever cherish and miss her.

She leaves behind her son Patrick, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandson Brandon, granddaughter Nicole, daughter-in-law Letitia “Tisha”, grandson Mason and many more friends and relatives whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and son Tony.
