My heart aches for my bestfriend and her family. Marie Gandy was like a grandmother to me, always there for us kids with a hug and a smile. I had spent thanksgiving with the family one year and she was the light of the room. She had so many cups of coffee that day and made me remember why I adored this woman so much. Our love for coffee! Will miss you terribly grandma Gandy.

This is her wedding day Marie and her husband Andrew Jackson Gandy June 23,1956.

Marie, you and i at frist didn't see eye to eye on alot of things. But in time we grew to love and respect each other. You have been a wonderful mother in law and you have been a wonderful grandmother. Marie know this I love you and I will always love you, my heart breaks and will be broken 💔 till we meet again.  Go now and see jack and Karen and Kathy and grandmother. My love to you all. 😥

This woman did not give birth to me, but even as a teenager I felt like one of her grandkids. She took us to the zoo and afterwards I jokingly asked if I could drive. She didn't agree to the road, but boy did I do circles around Lowry Park like a champ! That was the first time someone else let me drive their car, and I was ecstatic. Fast forward a few years and I still can't get over the night we gave her a Red Bull. She had no idea what it was, but she realized later on when it was midnight and she was at her table wide awake doing a crossword puzzle. We had a good laugh. She always made sure I had what I needed when I was over, and I thank her for all the love that was given without a second thought. Thanks for the memories, Gram.

My gorgeous Grandma on, not only her beautiful wedding day, but also her 21st birthday! She has always been and always will be the World’s Number 1 Grandma. I love you so much Gram. I miss you so much

I will miss the way you look at me, with so much love in your eyes. The way you used to hold my hand, say my name, hug me. I know I will not ever have that again in this lifetime. I am patiently waiting for the day I do. I’m glad there’s no more pain, no suffering. I know that grandpa hugged you tight when you got to heaven. I’ll miss you beautiful best friend. My partner in crime. My world. I love you oh so so much. TO THE MOON AND BACK MY GRANDMA!
