Maria C Rojas

Maria C. Rojas, 85, went to be with the Lord July 20, 2019. She was born May 1, 1934 in Camajuani, Las Villas, Cuba to the late Manuel Dominguez and Magdalena Moreno. Maria moved to Tampa in 1969. Catholic by faith, Maria was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tampa. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A diehard Tampa Bay Rays fan, she loved watching games with family. Maria was an expert seamstress who delighted in creating dresses for her daughters and granddaughters. She loved to dance and was quite the domino competitor.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband Jesus, sister Nery, and brother Mario, Maria is survived by her loving children- Aleida Cruz (Ernesto), Juanita Provenzano (Gio), Nancy Rojas, and Jesus Rojas (Barbara); niece Maritza Stevens; brother Faustino Dominguez; her 14 grandchildren- Armando, Aileen, Vanessa, Gabriella, Dante, Sophia, Eric, Brandon, Cristina, Andres, Victoria, Cristian, Ryan, and Ernesto; and 4 great grandchildren.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 6 to 8PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Funeral services will then be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa, FL.
