Maria B. Fernandez (nee Burgos) of Tampa, Florida, passed away on May 12, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she came to Florida from Nutley, NJ, where she lived with her husband, Al, and worked for the State of New Jersey. Maria loved to sing, dance, and laugh. She was a fabulous cook and hostess. She and Al gave some of the best dinner parties ever. Survivors include her sister Dolores Capalbo, three nephews, one niece, and daughter-in-law Anne Lawrence. A celebration of life will be held at a future date at St. John Presbyterian Church on MacDill Avenue in Tampa.
