Manuel German Navarro died peacefully in his home on Monday, December 20, 2021, surrounded by loved ones and all of his Grandchildren who were an important part of his life. Manuel left Cuba and came to the United States in 1971. He became a master craftsman working for Romeo’s cabinets for over 20 years. In 1984 he asked Zoraida Diaz to become his wife and they remained inseparable for 37 years, until his passing. Manuel had a passion for music, he was part of a band in Cuba and singing, playing his instruments was one of his most valued joys in life. His home always had music, even if it was from of his beautiful canary’s doing the singing, his home was always full of life. Manuel (Papi) was a firm believer in staying healthy, eating right and working out. It was rare to find Papi sitting down and he faithfully worked out at the YMCA at least three days a week, which helped extend his life as he fought the Leukemia. We will miss him greatly, Christmas parties or any of our many other celebrations will not be the same without Papi’s music and watching him instruct the Grandchildren and great grandchildren on the fine steps of becoming a great Salsa dancer! Please join us in celebrating his life on Wednesday, January 29th at 1:00 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, FL 33614.
