Manuel was born in Havana, Cuba to Manuel Lopez Villar and Maria Adoracion Diaz on September 10, 1937. He went to school in Havana, Cuba. He graduated from Central Methodist School in 1955. He married Maria Antoinette Vergara on November 3,1962 in Havana, Cuba. In Chicago, Illinois he worked as an accountant for The Harris Trust and Savings Bank and then in Tampa he worked for The Jim Walters Corp. He later worked as a Bi-lingual Aide for Davidsen Middle School and retired in 2017.
Manuel is preceded in death by his father Manuel Lopez Villar, his mother Maria Adoracion Diaz, and his son in law Jeffrey Van Field.
Manuel is survived by wife Maria A Lopez, son Manuel V Lopez and wife Rebecca, daughter Lourdes L Field, daughter Silvia L Caldwell and husband Darrin, and grandchildren Taylor Caldwell, Hunter Caldwell and Alexandra Caldwell and his little buddy Ringo Field.
Manuel immigrated from Cuba on February 6,1966 and proceeded to live the American dream by working hard and always providing for his family. Manuel was a kind and intelligent man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke and tease. He was a loving husband and an adored father, father in law and grandfather.
He lived a happy life and was well loved by his family and friends.
He will be dearly missed and remain forever in our hearts.
