Leonor Tobar Salazar, a woman of faith and family, has joined the Lord in heaven on Tuesday, April 9th. Devoted to God and her children, she leaves a legacy of peace, light, and gratitude. Lovingly known to her family as Nana, her identity as a grandmother defined her life. her fondest memories were those of caring for her grandchildren.
She will always be remembered as a woman who loved playing King and Rummikub with her family, going to church, and reading the word of the Lord. An avid reader, she regularly devoured religious novels, sharing God's messages with those around her. Her love for God guided her throughout life and brought her immeasurable comfort and peace in all her years. We will miss her dearly.
Leonor is survived by her daughter, Diana, and her two sons, Juan Carlos and Alvaro. Her life is celebrated by her grandchildren, Jonathan, his wife Andrea, Nicolas, his wife Shavelli, Alexander, Santiago, and Juanita. Leonor's influence extended to her daughter-in-law, Sandra, and sons-in-law, Michael and Jonathan, who became integral members of her extended family.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday April 14 at 4:00-7:00 PM at Blount & Curry MacDill Life Event Center. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
