Moss, Kent Evan, 79, died peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Florida. A native of Tampa, Florida, Kent was a proud member of the first fraternity class of Arete at the University of South Florida and a die-hard fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Kent attended Gordon Military Academy in Barnesville, Georgia and later served in the US Marines. He continued to serve his community through charitable work with Kiwanis and United Cerebral Palsy of Tampa Bay.
Kent was a trusted Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant, working with New York Life Insurance for fifty years. He was a perennial council agent and lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table, known for his commitment to his clients and mentorship of new agents.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, W.K. Moss and Ann Laurice Armstrong Moss of Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Lee Russell Moss; daughters Lisa Degrenia (Edward) and Lori Moss; granddaughters Elyse Degrenia Grossman (Sam) and Laura Degrenia Serrano (Kevin); and great-granddaughter Lily Grossman.
A private graveside service was held in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.
