As many of you already know Ken’s dad Kenneth L. Green passed away Tuesday evening 1/9/18 at the age of 88, after a battle with dementia. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA on 10/8/29. Ken had an endearing marriage to Marilyn who passed away on 04/8/14 of Alzheimer’s. Ken is preceded in death by his brother Robert and his wife Florence and his sister Mary Gladys and husband Bill. Ken is survived by his loving son, Ken, daughter in law Deborah and cherished granddaughter Lauren.
Ken and Marilyn moved to Florida when Lauren was 1. They wanted to live their lives here with their granddaughter Lauren, Ken and Deb. They left many friends to be with their family. We want to have a small service to remember and honor him for the wonderful man he was. A great husband, dad and granddad.
He was a dedicated hard worker who excelled in all of his endeavors. He was admired by all. Ken began his career at the Beaver Westinghouse Plant. He started on the shop floor and held a number of positions in tool design, engineering and manufacturing. After 44 years of dedication Ken became plant manager of over 3000 employees. Then Ken decided to retire to Florida. Ken was a member of the Masons/Shriners Organization. Ken also enjoyed golfing and he and Marilyn belonged to a bowling league. They enjoyed their many travels. Ken should be acknowledged for his service in the Army and protecting his country.
We would like to honor him and remember his life in a small memorial service at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. The service will be on Friday, 1/19/18 at 7:00 pm; family will start receiving guests at 6pm. He will be buried at Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if you so desire please send any donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at ALZFDN.org. May someone find a cure for this debilitating disease.
