THAYER, Katie Elizabeth (Hodges), 60, passed away on Thursday, April 13th, 2017, after an extended illness. She was born in Tampa, FL and graduated from Hillsborough High School. She was married to Thomas Thayer of Tampa and they had two sons, Justin and Kevin. Katie was a kind soul who loved her children, family and anyone she met. She was especially fond of Search-a-Word puzzles and "Cokes". She is survived by sons Justin Thayer & Kevin Thayer (Vanessa), brother Johnny Hodges (Debbie), sister Sheila Boddiford (Derryl), brother Pete Hodges (Judi), sister Laura Middleton (Mike), and several nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to : Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay, Inc 13707 N. 22nd Street Tampa, FL 33613 and/or Epilepsy Foundation 8301 Professional Place, Suite 200 Landover, MD 20785. Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 19th, 2017 at 1:00 pm with funeral service at 3:00 pm followed by burial at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, respectively.
