Justin Polanco...man this kid was full of life. I remember playing with you as a kid at abuela Tete’s apartment. Every time I saw you your energy was at 1000 and never had a frown. Always laughing and coming up with the funniest shenanigans. It saddens me that your life was cut short but we will meet again primo. We love you.

Dear Justin, I will remember you as that little toddler that I babysit in my home in New Jersey. I remember an special ocasión that Roberto brought you home. I was mopping the kitchen floor and you kicked and turned the bucket full of water .  And you looked at me, as you played with the puddle of water on the floor and You gave me the sweetest cutest mischievous smile . Last time, I saw you was in June 2018 when my sister died . You came to the funeral home and sat right next to me , called me “ titi “ Belkis and gave me a big hug , We did not see each other often , but I always knew you love me . That day as I looked at you, I remember again that toddler with the sweetest, cutest mischievous smile that called me “titi” Belkis, and that I love ❤️ I know that you touched many lives with your charisma and love .

Justin "Jay" :  I can't  hardly describe how your departure impacted us, your family.  Our last conversation during the beginning of this year still fresh in my mind.  On Jan 27th at 12:00am when I told you: "Jay":  This is Nereyda, your aunt from NY, Robert's sister. I remember you as a baby".  The next day you replied at 12:50 am: "Te recuerdo tambien. Your 2 sons and Maria.  Rafael lives in Tampa or Orlando, no?"  I responded to you the same day: " Yes, Rafael lives in Tampa. You have a daughter now." Then you stated: "Yea, her name is Reiina".  I said: "Reiina not Reyna? Queen still right? Then you told me: "Si pero con doble ii." How impressed I was with your Spanish Justin!  Then in March and April I did send you few messages. The last one was very inspiring from a Pastor about God.
Justin: I didn't hear back from you until I received a phone call from your father the night of your tragic departure.  What an impact! Went too soon! I still remember those beautiful eyes and smile of yours!  So fresh and spontaneous. 
Justin:  You will be in our hearts!  You went to reunite with abuela "Tete", your uncle William and aunt Mercedes. We love you Justin!

This has been the strangest week without you Justin ! And its still hard to believe..But our last Night/day spent together (June 22nd) will forever be my favorite memory and date I will hold close to me..from you coming to pick me up and both of us showing each other our new cars! Gosh how excited & proud of each other we were.. Of course yours was better ;-) then  to dinner (which i had already ate ) so i ordered ice cream that i didn't finish so you did for me and to visiting our mutual friends to drinks & to hours of talking and finally getting to introduce you my best friend to my child hood best friend and listening to y'all get along so well..(which would be hard for any to try not to do)..but I still feel like God or the Universe gave us that one last time together..I can say our friendship went out with a bang ! I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU OH SO MUCH ! my heart breaks for Reina but I know you be watching and protecting her every step of the way ! Rest In Paradise My Beloved until we meet again :-)

Oh Jay. Goodbye is the last thing i would have thought ide be saying to you right now. But, lets just say, ill catch you on the flip side. You were a light in this world that was turned off too soon.  I met you in 2015. And since the day we met, you were always nothing but good to me. Respectful. Honest. You made me laugh and always knew the right thing to say when i was down. You were my friend.  The last time i seen you i made a visit to you in Jacksonville, on my way back to GA from tampa. You gave me a full tour. We hung out. You had hoped i would move in. Now, i wish i would have only to have gotten more time. You did and always will hold a special place in my heart. Our friendship will always be remembered. I pray for the family and this unsettling loss. That you find peace.  He lived a reputable life. He never stopped fighting for his daughter. Was a very hard worker. Always putting people first. He was one of the sweetest and most genuine people i have been blessed to have known. I miss him. And will never forget. I love you papa. It's been a week since I received the phone call. I still can't believe that you are gone. Last time I saw you, you were so happy and proud of your baby girl Reiina. You were so proud to be a father, it's truly sad she will never see you again. I never thought that day would be the last day we would spend together. I remember our drive to and from Jacksonville. We had such good conversation. I still find myself checking Snapchat to see your videos. You looked so peaceful driving and singing. You were taken from us too soon Son. Justin was always remembered as my wild younger cousin, with his pierced ear so young. He had such an infectious smile, always cheesing and full of life. Me and my brothers didnt get to continue spending time with him, but I pray wherever he is now he continues smiling on us all and sending hugs to his closest loved ones. He had a big heart and life wasn't always fair, but I know those close to him will continue to keep his memory alive and his young spirit always. Joking. Laughing. Enjoying the time God gives us.
