Joshua Bishop, resident of Tampa, FL, passed away on December 11, 2016. Josh was born on May 3, 1989 in Rockford, Illinois to Shawn Wade and Nicole Birchfield. He grew up in Tennessee with his mother and Grandmother Kathy. Josh was also very close with his stepmother, Sherri Pelly. Josh had a big family with whom he was close with, which includes siblings (Shawn Jr., Sheldon, Skyler, Sierra, Savannah, Brandi, and Makayla), grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and a neice that he deeply cherished. Athea's mother, Miriam, loved Josh as her own son and with the rest of the family will miss him dearly.
Josh attended East High School in Rockford, Illinois where he met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Athea. He was always a hard worker and later received higher education at Everest University becoming a certified electrician. Josh was a true southern boy who loved sports, fishing, and attending country music concerts with Athea. He was a dedicated Steelers fan (against most of his family's advice). He would often shoot hoops with his close friend Richard and Athea's cousin, William. He loved fishing with his cousin Justin (Chelsea) and he passed down his love of fishing to his brother-in-law Tico; Josh truly valued that time they spent together.
Josh is survived by his wife Athea and son Noah Louis, who will bless us with his birth in February 2017. From the moment Josh found out they were having a baby his love for Noah was strong and will be shown through the memories of all who loved him. Josh was a good man, a loyal friend, and devoted husband and father. His truest legacy is love.
