Josephine Rivera, 91, of Tampa, FL passed away April 7, 2022. She was born in Catano, Puerto Rico on January 27, 1931. Josephine was married to George Murray Sr. in the 1950s, then to Daniel Ciffarelli in the 1960s. She worked in the NYC Garment District for over 20 years. Eventually she started her own seamstress business (Miss Jo) in the 1970s. Josephine was a devout Jehovah Witness and had a passion for pioneering.
She is preceded in death by her sisters Ann Diaz and Sylvia Torres; and her grandson Herman Ortiz.
Josephine is survived by her children Rosita Walsh-Wendt and George Murray Jr; grandchildren Aiyana Beatty and Megan Walsh; great-grandchildren Kayla, Cochese, Kalvin, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Michael and De'A; and siblings Isabel Wosniak, Jovita Reeves, Loleen Rivera, Eva DeJesus, Esther Rivera, Mary Rivera, Pura Miranda, Johnny Rivera, Danny Rivera, Joseph Rivera, Juan Rivera Jr and Eduardo Rivera.
