Joseph H. Laboy

Laboy, Joseph H., 61, the Lord called upon one of his angels on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Mr. Laboy, originally from Brooklyn, New York, moved to Tampa, Florida in 1985 with his wife, Iris Y. Laboy and daughter, Leana S. Laboy. Soon after he relocated to Tampa, Joseph started his career with Famous Tate. He was known for his two favorite loves in life - baseball and cooking. He was also a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is survived by his wife, Iris Y. Laboy; daughter, Leana S. Laboy; parents, Jose Laboy and Maria Velez (Puerto Rico); brother, Oscar Laboy; nephew, Derek Laboy and niece, Britni Laboy; along with his immediate and extended family in Puerto Rico, Georgia and Tampa. He also leaves many friends throughout the U.S., especially from the New York/New Jersey area. The viewing will be held at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Aveune, Tampa, Florida, Friday, August 7, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the family.
