Blankenship, Joseph W. “Joe” 71, passed away March 13, 2020. Joe was a graduate of Chamberlain High School. He then had a 30 year career with Winn Dixie and then after working for Sweet Bay for 10 years, Joe retired. He enjoyed watching and attending Nascar races. Joe also enjoyed cruising and watching college football where he would cheer on the Seminoles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; sons, Marcus (Angela) Blankenship and Brent (Kelly) Blankenship; brother, Larry (Carole) Blankenship; brother-in-law, Don (Margie) Leppla; grandchildren, Grace, Nolan, Eastin, Braxton; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and many friends and extended family.
A viewing will take place from 5-7pm on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Blount and Curry Funeral Home located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave. Tampa, FL. 33618. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Donations may be made to Seminole Heights United Methodist Church or Suncoast Hospice.
