Today, June 15, 2023, marks the two year mark that my daddy passed away. It was the hardest time in my life losing my daddy. Father's day will never be the same for me, but I treasure my memories with him. My daddy gave his life to Jesus, and I know I'll see him again one day.  I love and miss you so much.

On this day last year my daddy went to be with the Lord. I will never forget him for the father he was. My dad was a dad who provided everything for us we never lacked anything he loved us but it he didn't really show it with affection like some dads but we knew he loved us. My dad made people laugh with his silly noises he would make I remember growing up with his donald duck imitation  it  really sounded like donald. My dad was the one that heald our family together and his presence is surly missed. Dad, I wasn't to thank you for staying with mom for 62 years and never making us the  statistics of divorced parents and for that I am forever thankful daddy. I love you and I know I will see you again one day in the presence of our Lord till that day I won't stop thinking about you and loving you.  Your little girl Jeanette 

Please accept my deepest condolences from my family to your family for the loss of our beloved  Joe.  I first met you Joe in 1988.  We connected right away and you always treated us like we were your kids too and part of your family!

I’ll forever treasure our camping and fishing trips as well as the so many weekends we spent together at your house while Paquita would whip a great meal every time from fresh caught fish to some delicious rice and beans and tostones!  I loved how you would always encourage  us to take good care of ourselves,  to eat better and to work out! Absolutely amazing memories made during those wonderful years. You will be missed tremendously but I know we will reunite with you in Heaven some day! Much love and strength for the Alicea family.

All I can say when I was in town He always shake my hand and ask how I was doing. I saw the strong relationship between him and his brother Robert that I wished I could have, REST IN PEACE  and My condolences to his family.

I don’t have a specific favorite memory because all the memories I have with him and mama aba (Frances) are my favorite. I remember being little and going to their house every day because my parents had to work and every morning we would sit at the table and mama aba would make me coffee and bread and for lunch they’d make pasteles because they knew they were my favorite, Papa joe loved taking photos of me and burning them onto a CD for me to have, I remember I always had to have a piece of his bubble gum and eat the grapefruits they had in their backyard with sugar. When I’m in town n country me and my boyfriend always drive passed the Timberlane house because We created a bunch of memories there that I will never forget, Im proud to call him my god dad and Im so blessed to have had you in my life. We may of not spoke every day but I know that I made you and Mama aba proud. Please watch over me and guide me, Fly high papa joe. We love you💜

All my memories with you are my favorite.  But the most recent ones I will cherish the most. Truly was an honor and a privilege to care for you. Silence speak a thousand words if we just pay close attention, I notice you didn't say much but you always had something  wise to say and advice to give and  I  am very much appreciated of the wisdom you shared with me . Thank you for being the grandfather I needed.  Thank you for fighting for our country.  I love you papa. Will miss you dearly but will always be in my heart. Fly high!!

I will always remember you and I will never forget that in the hardest moments for me you were there to help me with open arms. The most important memory that I have and will always cherish and I'm so thankful to God is that he allowed me to be the one to lead you to the Lord and when you repeated the sinners prayer I can still hear your voice and your reply when I asked do you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you said "Yes" with all my "Heart"! Papi that was the happiest moment for me and because of your decision is what holds me together and  I know we will be together in the presence of our Lord one day. Until that day papi I will miss you, and think about you every day and you will always be in my heart....❤❤

I remember years ago visiting Joe & Frances, she was having some shoulder issues  for months. He was so concerned over her and finally decided to let a Dr give a treatment one more go, after several didn't work ....but last one worked and she was better.. Both Joe and Frances could get back to camping and their normal life. Such a blessing seeing the love of a husband.



We love you Tio. You were an honorable man who loved your wife and entire family. Your nieces, nephews, extended & extra “family” never felt less than. Where we will miss you in the physical, we know we will see you again in heaven. We promise to care for Tia and will try our best to make her feel as safe and secure as you made her feel.
