Jorge Luis Lopez “Cuban Style” a man of God was born in Havana, Cuba. He was only 4 years old when he migrated to the US with his parents and brother. They Lived in Los Angeles and a few years later made Tampa, FL their hometown. Jorge was always known for his athleticism since a young boy and always made his family proud especially his mother Dominga Nieves Lopez. He was a starting Center for the Leto High school football team and was admired by many. Jorge was a diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers with his best friend / brother Carlos Fernandez- the two had a special bond since elementary school. Their love for the Pittsburgh Steelers spread through the family quickly and has been strong for decades. “Here we go Steelers” ! Jorge was a very innovative individual; there was not a thing he couldn’t fix or invent. Jorge took much pride in planning and building his own home. He would always say “this house is for my family” whom he took much pride in. He lived for his family, and was always so proud of all of his children. Jorge also took much pride in his faith and his love for God. He had the opportunity to witness God’s blessings, to build great relationships with his brothers in Christ and touched many lives. Psalms 23:1-6
Jorge was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. He is Survived by his Wife Martha Lopez. Children Jorge Luis Lopez Jr and wife Megan, Jeanette Lina Labrador and husband Jose, Jose Luis Lopez, Ralph Jose Santamarina and wife Ana, Carlos Alberto Santamarina and wife Silvia. Grandchildren Jonathan Santamarina, Liliana Fernandez, Tino Lopez, Luca Lopez, Lucy Labrador, and James Santamarina. Brother Frank Lopez and wife Caridad.
The family will hold a “Celebration of Life”
