John J. "Jack" Kearney Jr

KEARNEY, John J. “Jack”, Jr., 72, passed away on May 26, 2016 in Tampa, FL. Born in Bridgeport, CT, Jack was a master electrician and worked as an electrical inspector for the City of Tampa for 20 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in Tampa. He taught Sunday school at the church for many years and was very proud of his confirmands. Jack loved swimming and was a master swimmer and he shared that love of swimming with his granddaughter Emma. Jack proudly served in the US Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Danielle Kearney; daughter Angelique Beudot and her husband Frederic; grandchildren Ezra, Emma, and Matthieu; sisters Elaine Terry and Karen Wakeman; brother Kevin Kearney as well as his family in France and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Patrick Kearney. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 6:30PM at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 8401 W. Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33615. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack’s name to the church. Arrangements entrusted to Gonzalez Funeral Home (813)931-1833.
