Foster I, John Henry 94, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 28th. Born in Southwick, MA, on December 29th, 1920 but grew up in New York. He loved Broadway. John joined the Canadian Air Force and then served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII where he was a POW in Germany. Upon returning to the U.S. after the war, he worked as a head foreman of the electrical division with the Panama Canal Company. He loved to fish and made elaborate fish tanks. John also loved working in his yard and being outside. John was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Maria Wilson Foster; and his son, John Henry II. He is survived by his son, William Foster; daughter, Kathleen Foster Curtiss; daughter, Nancy Foster Mulroy; daughter, Deborah Foster; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Mary Brigentti; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private family military service will take place at a later date at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
