John Joseph Driscoll Jr.

John J. Driscoll, Jr., 90 of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on October 14, 2023 in Tampa, Florida. Jack, as he was known by friends and family, is survived by his sons, Richard (Marisa) and Robert , daughter, Autumn (Michael), significant other, Rhoda Brueggeman, along with five grand children, and six great grand children.

Jack worked in the insurance business until 1985, when he went into business with son, Robert, as an owner/operator of a PIP printing franchise. In his retirement years, he did volunteer work for Life Path Hospice. Jack, a lifetime baseball fan, loved his Tampa Bay Rays with a deep passion.

Jack lost his wife, Geraldine, to cancer in 2006. After spending two lonely years without her, he met Rhoda, with whom he spent the last 15 years of his life. Rhoda was dedicated to Jack until his last breath. Jack was also pre-deceased by grandson Tyler who passed away after a courageous battle with cystic fibrosis.

A visitation for John will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Oldsmar West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa FL 33615 with funeral services starting at 10:30AM. A committal service will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Safety Harbor, FL 33759.
