JoAnne's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.
When she was just 18, JoAnne - or "JoJo" as most would know, enlisted in the Army to serve her country and met Jerry Gibson. A true love story, Joanne and Jerry married and eventually set roots in Tampa, Florida to begin a beautiful life together raising their son, William Earl Gibson. JoAnne dedicated much of her life to her work for the U.S. Government, but in her later years would go on to fill her time working at Publix bringing her bright energy to everyone she met.
Joanne was a soft-hearted, caring woman with the deepest love for her family and and friends. A passionate reader and lover of music, Joanne truly lived a life full of love and lived her life to spread that love. Not a day went by where JoAnne didn't talk about how much her family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important passion in life.
Joanne is survived by her son, William Earl Gibson, her brother, William (Bill) Farris, her sister, Karen Farris Schroeder and her many loving nieces and nephews.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Blount & Curry Funeral Home - Carrollwood.
