The earth lost an angel on Feb. 14, 2016; Joan Lee Richards passed on to eternal rest and earned her angel wings in Heaven. Our love for our wife, mother, grandmother and friend that was never-ending and her beautiful spirit continues to drive us to do better every day. Joan proudly traced her Florida heritage back five generations to Wakulla County, Florida. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ferdinand Richards Jr. her son, Dr. Ferdinand Richards III, her daughter, Leah Richards King and her son, John L Richards (Barbara). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Avery Colman (John), Riley Dickey, Carly King, and John Ryan Richards. She was a beautiful, selfless woman, who helped many people at the Harbor House during her over 34 year employment as the property manager. In lieu of flowers, per request of the family, please donate to your choice of charity in remembrance of Joan Lee Richards. Services will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home 605 S. Mac Dill Ave. Tampa FL. 33609 on Friday Feb.26th at 11:00am.
