James Allen Perry, “Jim”, was born on February 23, 1963, in Lodi, Ohio, and became a lifelong Florida resident when he moved to Odessa, Florida, with his family, as an infant.
It is with profound sadness that we must announce Jim’s sudden and unexpected passing on October 27, 2023 at 10:58 am, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was a pillar of strength and inspiration for many, and he lived a life dedicated to hard work, family, and serving those around him.
As Vice President of Wes Flo Inc. and the owner-operator of Perry Farm LLC, Jim’s dedication was evident in every endeavor he undertook. Alongside his mother, Eloise Perry, and sister, Susan Lord, Jim played an instrumental role in the growth and success of Wes Flo, making his late father immensely proud. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim had an innate passion for farming, boating, camping, and the great outdoors.
Yet, what stood out the most about Jim was his unwavering commitment to others. He believed in service over self, always placing the needs and happiness of his friends and loved ones above any personal hobby or pursuit. This selflessness is what made him a beacon of hope and support for many.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Eloise Perry, and his brother Steven Perry. He is survived by his loving sister, Susan Lord (Robert), sister, Stephanie Amato ( Alan), brother, Arthur Perry, Jr. ( Katie) , son, Dakotah Moore ( Caroline); his daughter, Samantha Perry, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Their memories of Jim's kindness, strength, and enduring love will forever be etched in their hearts.
Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood on November 17th between 5 P.M. and 7 P.M.
The service to celebrate Jim’s life will take place at Keystone United Methodist Church at 10 am on Saturday, November 18th. For those wishing to participate in the procession from Wes-Flo to the church, please gather at Wes Flo by 7 A.M.
Jim Perry's legacy is one of dedication, love, and service. His memory will continue to inspire and uplift all those fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, dear Jim. Your spirit will forever shine bright in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
