James Thomas Kelly

Jim was born in Berwyn, IL to Helen and Jim Kelly on June 6, 1964. He went to elementary school at Holy Angeles and high school at Marmion (Military)Academy in Aurora, IL. He graduated from The University of Tampa before beginning his coaching career at Carrollwood Village Swim Team (CVST) and as the Tennis & Aquatics Center Director of Carrollwood Country Club, where he quickly became a pillar of the community, fostering the growth of countless athletes. His love of Chicago Sports Teams, no matter how poor they played, Notre Dame football, and NASCAR were only rivaled by his dedication to Florida Swimming, United States Swimming, and his own athletes at CVST.

Jim is survived by his parents, Jim and Helen Kelly, and his siblings: Jennifer Kelly and husband, Brad Albrecht, Tim Kelly and wife, Abby Kelly, Maureen (Kelly) Paluzzi and her husband, Joe Paluzzi, and Bill Schalz and wife, Robin Schalz, as well as, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. Also, by his extended family, Tara, Ryan, Peyton, and Chloe Balseiro, Maria Zambito and Meredith Seibold, who cared for Jim beyond measure.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Jim at the Main Clubhouse of Carrollwood Country Club at 2pm on Monday, January 9th.
