Jimmy is survived by his wife Lise (Roberge) Hickey, his sister Mary Beth Lee from Kodak Tennessee, his sister Linda Paskowitz from Colchester Vermont, and his brother Daniel Hickey who lives in Largo Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many other brothers and sisters-in-law.
Jimmy was born in Montpelier Vermont. Jimmy graduated from Montpelier High School and joined the Air Force shortly after graduation. While in the Air Force, he attended several computer and Supply management courses and became a computer operator. After his military service, he worked for National Life of Vermont as and computer operator, attended several programming courses and became a Programmer. In Tampa he worked for SmithKline/French as a Billing System Analyst. In his last position, he worked for International Clinical Labs in Dallas as a Billing Systems Analyst.
Jimmy was an avid reader of detective novels and history. He was an animal lover we always had multiple pets of some kind. For 5 years he drove to the gas station on the corner to feed the stray cats.
While stationed on the DMZ in South Korea’s second war he was exposed to Agent Orange. Because of
the exposure, his immune system was compromised and as a result he ended up with a painful disabling
disease. He is now free of all the suffering. He was a proud and honorable man.
A Memorial Service will be held at Blount & Curry located at 3207 W Bearss Ave. Tampa, Florida 33618 on
Sunday, April 28th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Donations can be given to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital or to Disabled American Veterans.
