He moved to Tampa, Florida at a young age where he graduated from Hillsborough County Public Schools. After graduating from high school, he worked at various jobs in Hillsborough County area. From his first marriage 5 children were born. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Later he met Ms. Eartha Sinclair Daniels on May 13, 1970, of this union 5 children were born.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son Carey V Daniels, and his two brothers; Clifford Daniels, Jr. and Albert Daniels, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife Eartha Daniels, children; Brenda Daniels, Gwendolyn Batten (William Sr.), James Daniels Jr. (Linda), Gloria Lindo (Dennis), Apostle Debra Brown (Apostle James),Robert Lee Daniels (Edwina), Annette James, James Daniels III (Kolanda), Areatha Anderson (Dan), special niece Verlecia Black, grandchildren; Dameatrice Washington (Theodore), Theartis Daniesl (Nitra), Charles Palomore Jr., Charnisha Lewis (Jerald), Rasheedra Robinson (Druther), William Batten Jr. (Sherese), Danelle Batton, Latasha Daniels, Lashauna Daniels, Antoinette Smith (Darnal), James Daniels, Adrian Daniels, Monisha Anderson (Yarna), Tanetha Cooper, Karis Brown, Adonis Brown (Megan), Brilyn Daniels, Kameryn Daniels, DJ Clark, Sierra James, Theron James, Jamela Daniels, Aurella Daniels, Roderick Lockett, Rakeisha Van-Guy, Giana Anderson, Deja Daniels, Dan Anderson III, Isaiah Anderson, a host of great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren, brother Kelvin Daniels (Sandy), Daughter-in-law Peggy Brim-Daniels (family), Sister-in-laws; Diane Nolen, Barbara Jones-Beard (Harold), Mildred Black, Mitty Dawson (Ben), Gladys Wilson, Brother in laws; David Jenkins, Carzell Black Jr., and a host of relatives and friends.
A visitation for James will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610. We are adhering to CD guidelines.
Friends and family attending the homegoing celebration for Mr. James Edward Daniels Sr. are asked to wear a mask and to assemble at the church at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2511 East Columbus Drive, Tampa, FL 33605.
A committal service will occur Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
